NEW JERSEY, February 25, 2002: This past week, the world was saddedned to learn of the death of Daniel Pearl. The Princeton, NJ-born Pearl had been an accomplished writer for the Wall Street Journal, and was murdered after being kidnapped while on assignment in Pakistan. The 38-year old Pearl was married; he and his wife were expecting the birth of his first child later this year.

With respect and honor, we remember Daniel's life and his spirit, and we pray for the Pearl family.

Fragile
By Sting

If blood will flow when flesh and steel are one
Drying in the color of the evening sun
Tomorrow's rain will wash the stains away
But something in our minds will always stay

Perhaps this final act was meant
To clinch a lifetime's argument
That nothing comes from violence
And nothing ever could
For all us born beneath an angry star
Lest we forget how fragile we are

On and on the rain will fall
Like tears from a star
Like tears from a star
On and on the rain will say
How fragile we are
How fragile we are
